General

After completing High School, I served in the Military for 4 years.  After moving back to Virginia, I was employed with the Department of Corrections for 20 years until retirement.  I have worked with the Cumberland Youth League for 16 years and also work with the Cumberland High School Athletic Department for 9 years.  I began my part-time employment as the Cumberland Recreation Department in 2006 until the Board of Supervisors approved the full-time position in 2007.

As the Recreation Director, I encourage the youth to be better athletes, never give up and we are all winners whether we win or lose.

I am strongly supported by my wife Cathy, and 3 sons, Dante’ 24, De’Von 21, and Da’Sean 17.
