Cumberland VA – The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the Cumberland County Public Middle/High School Cafetorium at 15 School Road, Cumberland, Virginia, to conduct public hearings pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204(A).

The public hearing for CUP 24-01 was originally scheduled for June 10, 2025 but was postponed allowing for additional negotiations to further strengthen the conditions and host agreement terms related to the project.

The public hearing for CUP 24-01 will include an overview and history of the project, staff recommended conditions, an overview of the Host Agreement and a presentation by the applicant. The public comment period, once opened, will have an allotted time of two hours in which speakers can comment on the project within the standard three-minute timeframe.

All speakers are required to sign up to speak and must provide their name and full address.  Cumberland residents and landowners will speak first. Powhatan County residents and landowners may speak after all Cumberland residents and landowners have spoken, within the two-hour allotted timeframe.  

Copies of the complete text of the above Conditional Use Permit and Host Agreement are available for public review at the office of the Cumberland County Planning Department, County Administration Building, 1 Courthouse Circle, Cumberland, Virginia between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm of each business day.  Documents related to CUP 24-01 may also be found on the County website at https://www.cumberlandcounty.virginia.gov/297/Green-Ridge-Project
